Act 3 Overview: Welcome to Baldur’s Gate

Act 3 is the largest act by content volume, taking place entirely within Baldur’s Gate city and its surroundings. Key facts:

• Major bosses: Orin, Gortash, Raphael, Cazador, Viconia, Ansur, Netherbrain
• Time: 30-50 hours for full completion

Part 1: Rivington (Level 10-11)

The outer district. Key content:

• Circus of the Last Days: Talk to Lucretious. Find Dribbles the Clown (scattered body parts quest). Akabi’s Djinni lamp spins you to a jungle with a legendary trident.
• Open Hand Temple: Murder investigation. Speak with Sister Yannis, examine the尸体, find the murder weapon. Leads to the Bhaal temple later.
• Arfur’s Mansion: Smugglers hiding explosive toys. Confront Arfur at Sharess’ Caress.
• Gur Camp: Astarion’s people. Important for his personal quest ending.

Part 2: Wyrm’s Crossing (Level 11)

• Gortash’s Coronation: Attend at Wyrm’s Rock. Meet all major political players. DO NOT attack Gortash here — the entire fortress aggros.
• Sharess’ Caress: The brothel. Raphael’s incubus (Haarlep) is upstairs. The Dryad offers a love test.
• Steel Watch Foundry: Under Wyrm’s Crossing. Disable the Steel Watch to weaken Gortash.

Part 3: Lower City (Level 11-12)

The main hub. Densely packed with content:

• Sorcerous Sundries: Gale’s quest. Lorroakan wants the Nightsong. Vault contains legendary scrolls.
• House of Grief: Shadowheart’s quest. Viconia DeVir and the Sharran enclave.
• Cazador’s Palace: Astarion’s quest. Vampire lord, ritual sacrifice, ascension choice.
• Counting House: Minsc recruitment. Vaults contain gold and unique items.
• House of Hope: Raphael’s domain. Steal the Orphic Hammer. Best loot in the game.
• Bhaal Temple: Orin’s lair. Rescue your kidnapped companion. Murder Tribunal.

Part 4: Major Bosses

Part 5: Final Sequence

After collecting all 3 Netherstones: confront the Netherbrain at the Morphic Pool. This is the point of no return. Final battle strategy: summon all allies (Call Forth Allies action), kill the 4 Mind Flayer arcanists, channel the Netherstones, enter the portal, burst the brain.
