How to Enter

Go to Devil’s Fee (Lower City). Talk to Helsik. She performs a ritual to open a portal to the House of Hope. Ritual items needed: Infernal Marble, Diamond, Coin of Mammon, Skull. Buy them from Helsik (10,000g) or find them around the city.

Inside the House of Hope

The Archive

Contains the best loot in BG3:

• Amulet of Greater Health: Sets CON to 23. Best amulet for any build.
• Gauntlets of Hill Giant Strength: Sets STR to 23. Carry weight +500kg.
• Staff of Spellpower: Free spell slot per long rest.
• Mol’s Contract: Raphael’s contract with Mol. Optional.

Access: solve the pedestal puzzle (“Hope”) or pick the DC 99 lock (yes, actually 99).

The Boudoir

Raphael’s private chambers. Haarlep (incubus) is here. Defeat him. Loot:

• Helldusk Gloves: +1 spell DC, +1 AC
• Raphael’s Notes: Reveals his true name. Useful for dialogue options.

The Prison

Hope is chained. Free her. She joins as a temporary companion with Divine Intervention.

Stealing the Orphic Hammer

Center pedestal in the main hall. Stealing it triggers Raphael’s return. Before stealing: loot EVERYTHING else first. Once you take the hammer, the boss fight begins.

After Raphael

Loot his body: Helldusk Armor (21 AC heavy armor, fire immunity, fly spell). Best armor in the game.
