Where to Find Scratch

Scratch is in the wilderness area, north of the Blighted Village, near the Risen Road. His dead master is lying near him. Approach calmly. Use Speak with Animals (potion or spell). Convince him you’re a friend. He’ll mention his master. Agree to help. Scratch goes to your camp.

Camp Interactions

• Fetch: Scratch brings you a ball. Throw it (throw action). He fetches it. Wholesome content.
• Sniffing: Scratch occasionally sniffs out buried treasure during camp rests.
• Pet him: Every time you’re at camp. He’s the best boy.
• Owlbear Cub: Scratch and the cub become best friends. Their interactions are heartwarming.

Getting the Scratch Summon

After Scratch has been at camp for several rests: he brings you a ball again. Play fetch. After this interaction, you gain the Find Familiar: Scratch ability (once per short rest). You can summon Scratch in combat. He has the “Help” action (revive downed allies) and can sniff out invisible enemies.
