Act 1: Building Approval

What she approves of: Respecting privacy, kindness to animals, pragmatic choices, opposing Sharran cruelty, not prying about her past.

What she disapproves of: Githyanki (due to her Sharran mission), unnecessary heroism for heroism’s sake.

Key approval moments:

• Give her the Mysterious Artefact (automatic)
• Save Arabella from Kagha
• Pet Scratch at camp
• Don’t push her to reveal her secrets too early

The Tiefling Party: Talk to Shadowheart. She’ll mention wine. Say “I’d like that.” At the cliffside, choose the romantic dialogue. Kiss her.

Act 2: The Nightsong Choice

The most critical moment for her romance. In the Shadowfell:

• Spare the Nightsong: Shadowheart rejects Shar, becomes Selunite. Romance deepens. Opens the path to her personal quest resolution.
• Kill the Nightsong: She becomes a Dark Justiciar. Romance continues but becomes darker. Her parents’ questline closes.

Recommendation for romance: Spare the Nightsong. The Selunite path makes her happier and the romance is warmer.

Act 3: Parents & Resolution

Visit the House of Grief in the Lower City. Confront Viconia DeVir. Find Shadowheart’s parents:

• Save her parents: They’re alive but suffering from Shar’s curse. Shadowheart gains closure but has chronic pain flaring.
• Let them go: They die but are free of Shar’s torment. Shadowheart is emotionally devastated but physically free.

Either choice works for the romance. The epilogue scene with Shadowheart is among the most romantic in the game.
