Act 1: The Mysterious Artefact

Shadowheart carries a mysterious artefact. She doesn’t know what it is. It protects you from the Absolute’s voice. Don’t pry — she’ll reveal more when she trusts you. Give her a Night Orchid (found in Act 2).

Act 2: The Nightsong (Critical Choice)

In the Shadowfell, Shadowheart faces the source of her faith: the Nightsong (Dame Aylin, an immortal aasimar). Her goddess Shar commands her to kill. Your choice (or hers if you stay silent):

• Spare the Nightsong: Shadowheart throws away the Spear of Night. Shar abandons her. Her hair turns white. She embraces Selune. Best outcome.
• Kill the Nightsong: Shadowheart becomes a Dark Justiciar. Gains powerful gear. Shar rewards her. But she loses her compassion.

Act 3: House of Grief

Visit the House of Grief (Lower City). Confront Viconia DeVir. Find Shadowheart’s parents held in magical stasis. Her mother (Emmeline) and father (Arnell).

The Final Choice:

• Save her parents: They’re alive but suffer chronic pain from Shar’s curse. Shadowheart gains closure and family.
• Free them (let them die): They’re freed from Shar’s torment. Shadowheart learns to live without them.

Either way, she’s finally free of Shar’s control.

Best Ending

Spare the Nightsong + save her parents. Shadowheart becomes Selunite, reunites with her family, and finds peace. In the epilogue: she’s baking cookies, petting animals, and living a quiet happy life.
