BG3 Wyll Companion Quest Guide: The Blade of Frontiers Complete Walkthrough

Act 1: The Blade of Frontiers

1. Wyll joins during the goblin attack at Emerald Grove’s gate
2. He’s hunting Karlach — Mizora told him she’s a devil. When you meet Karlach, convince him she’s innocent
3. Mizora appears at camp. She punishes Wyll for sparing Karlach: transforms him into a devil (horns). Wyll accepts this to keep his powers

Act 2: Mizora’s New Deal

Mizora appears in the Mind Flayer Colony (after Ketheric phase 1). She’s trapped in a pod. Free her. She offers Wyll a new pact — eternal servitude in exchange for his father’s location. Accept or reject:

• Accept: Mizora reveals Duke Ravengard is in the Iron Throne. But Wyll is bound to Mizora forever.
• Reject: Wyll is free of Mizora. But his father remains lost.

Act 3: The Iron Throne + Ansur

Rescue Duke Ravengard from the Iron Throne underwater prison. He’s Wyll’s father. After rescue: Mizora tries to kill Ravengard (she promised to save him but not to let him live). Counter her with Sanctuary.

Find the Wyrmway beneath Wyrm’s Rock. Defeat Ansur (undead dragon). Ansur reveals the truth about Balduran. Wyll must decide: become the next Duke of Baldur’s Gate, or become the Blade of Avernus (adventuring demon hunter).

Best ending: Become the Blade of Avernus. Free from Mizora. Go to Avernus with Karlach.
